JET-USA RX470: Older Compact Electric Model
The RX470 remains relevant because older Firebusters content and search traffic may still refer to it. It is a smaller electric pressure washer aimed at lighter household work.
Its published figures include 1800 PSI maximum pressure, around 1600 PSI continuous pressure and roughly 6.2–7.1L/min water flow. At around 6kg, it is substantially lighter than the larger machines in this comparison.
Best suited to: lighter vehicle cleaning, outdoor furniture, small paved areas and occasional home maintenance.
Important: the RX470 is now a legacy/out-of-stock model at Edisons, so we have not included a purchase button. Owners should refer to their original manual for model-specific operating information.
JET-USA RX540: 2800 PSI Electric Model
The RX540 is a current electric option with a 2200W motor, maximum pressure of 2800 PSI and water flow ranging from 5.8 to 6.8L/min.
It includes a 10m hose and weighs around 13kg. The package includes a Vari-Nozzle, turbo nozzle, detergent bottle, brush head and surface-cleaner attachment.
For many households, the RX540 provides a useful middle ground between a small basic washer and the larger high-output models.
JET-USA RW545: Water-Cooled Electric Pressure Washer
2100W Water-Cooled Electric Pressure Washer
3000 PSI maximum pressure, 6.5–7.5L/min water flow, 10m hose and a useful range of domestic cleaning attachments.
The RW545 is the model being added in this recovery update. Its main point of difference is its 2100W water-cooled electric motor.
- Maximum pressure: 3000 PSI
- Water flow: 6.5L/min minimum/rated figure and 7.5L/min maximum
- Hose: 10m
- Power cord: 5m
- Maximum water temperature: 50°C
- Weight: 18kg
- Accessories: Vari-Nozzle, turbo nozzle, rotary brush, surface cleaner and detergent bottle/nozzle
Possible fit: patios, paths, outdoor furniture and suitable vehicle-cleaning tasks where mains electricity is available.
Limitation: 3000 PSI is the supplier’s maximum figure. Buyers should not treat it as a continuous operating-pressure specification.
JET-USA RX550: Higher-Output Electric Model
The RX550 steps up to a larger electric platform. Current supplier information lists 3500 PSI maximum pressure and 2500 PSI continuous pressure, with water flow of 6.8L/min and maximum flow of 8.5L/min.
It has a 10m hose, 1-litre detergent tank and weighs about 24kg. This makes it less compact than the RX540 or RW545 but provides a stronger electric alternative before moving into petrol equipment.
JET-USA CX630 vs CX660 Petrol Pressure Washers
The CX630 and CX660 use 212cc, supplier-rated 7HP four-stroke petrol engines. Both produce substantially more water flow than the electric models at 9.5L/min.
The CX630 is a horizontal-format machine with 3200 PSI continuous pressure, 4800 PSI maximum pressure, a 10m hose and an approximate product weight of 28kg.
The CX660 uses an upright layout. It produces 3100 PSI continuous pressure and 4800 PSI maximum pressure, also with 9.5L/min flow and a 10m hose. Its listed weight is about 27kg.
These petrol machines can be useful where mains electricity is unavailable or where longer jobs require greater flow than the smaller electrics provide.
JET-USA TX870: High-Output Petrol Model
The TX870 moves into a much larger class of pressure washer. Its 420cc four-stroke petrol engine is paired with an adjustable Annovi Reverberi RSV 4G40D triplex brass-head pump.
- Maximum pressure: 5000 PSI
- Continuous pressure: 4207 PSI
- Water flow: 15L/min
- Hose: 20m dual-layer wire braided
- Engine: 420cc four-stroke
- Pump: adjustable AR triplex brass-head pump
The TX870 makes more sense for larger properties, building or landscaping work and other situations where high flow, long hose reach and sustained output are genuinely required.
JET-USA DX800: Diesel Pressure Washer
The DX800 is the specialist heavy machine in this comparison. It combines a 418cc diesel engine with electric start, recoil backup and a commercial-style triplex brass-head pump.
- Engine: 418cc, supplier-rated 10HP diesel
- Maximum pressure: 4000 PSI
- Continuous pressure: 3600 PSI
- Water flow: 17L/min
- Hose: 15m steel-braided
- Starting: electric start with recoil backup
- Weight: 106kg
- Mobility: four-wheel trolley with 10-inch no-flat tyres
The DX800’s 17L/min water flow is the highest in this comparison. At 106kg, however, this is not a machine intended to be casually lifted in and out of storage.
Electric vs Petrol vs Diesel
| Consideration | Electric | Petrol | Diesel |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mains electricity | Required | Not required | Not required |
| Exhaust gases | None at machine | Yes | Yes |
| Engine servicing | No combustion engine | Required | Required |
| Typical strength | Convenience and domestic use | Mobility and higher output | High-flow heavy-duty work |
Why Water Flow Matters as Much as PSI
Pressure helps break dirt and contamination away from a surface. Water flow helps carry that loosened material away.
This is why the figures should be considered together. The DX800, for example, has a lower maximum PSI figure than the TX870 but a higher published water flow of 17L/min.
For larger areas, additional water flow can make a major difference to practical cleaning speed.
Pressure Washer Surface Safety
Even a relatively small pressure washer can damage a surface when the nozzle is too close or the wrong spray pattern is used.
- Start farther away from the surface.
- Move closer gradually only when required.
- Use wider spray patterns for delicate materials.
- Test an inconspicuous section first.
- Take care around paint, timber, grout, seals and soft stone.
- Use extra care around vehicles, windows and electrical equipment.
- Never direct the water jet toward people or animals.
Basic Setup and Care
- Read the manufacturer’s manual before operation.
- Connect and establish the water supply before operating the pump.
- Never intentionally run a pressure-washer pump dry.
- Inspect hoses and fittings for damage before use.
- Keep electrical connections dry on electric models.
- Release stored pressure before disconnecting hoses.
- Flush detergent systems as instructed after use.
- Store hoses without sharp bends or kinks.
- Follow the manufacturer’s servicing schedule for petrol and diesel engines.
Which JET-USA Pressure Washer Should You Consider?
- Light and occasional cleaning: the older RX470 represents this class, although it is now a legacy model.
- General household electric cleaning: RX540.
- Water-cooled electric option: RW545.
- Higher-output electric cleaning: RX550.
- Portable petrol power: CX630 or CX660.
- High-output petrol jobs: TX870.
- High-flow diesel work: DX800.
The best choice depends on the work rather than simply buying the machine with the largest pressure number. Consider how frequently the machine will be used, available electricity, water supply, hose reach, storage space and whether the extra weight and maintenance of an engine-powered model are justified.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is 3000 PSI enough for home cleaning?
The RW545’s maximum figure is 3000 PSI, which places it well within the range of machines intended for many household cleaning tasks. Surface type, flow rate, nozzle selection and working distance remain important.
Is the RW545 water cooled?
Yes. The current supplier specification describes its 2100W electric motor as water cooled.
How long is the RW545 hose?
The current specification lists a 10m high-pressure hose and a 5m electrical power cord.
What is the difference between CX630 and CX660?
Both use 212cc petrol engines and have 9.5L/min flow. The CX630 uses a horizontal layout and lists 3200 PSI continuous pressure, while the CX660 has an upright format and lists 3100 PSI continuous pressure.
Which model has the highest water flow?
Of the machines compared here, the DX800 has the highest published flow at 17L/min. The TX870 follows at 15L/min.
Can petrol or diesel pressure washers be used inside?
No combustion-engine pressure washer should be operated inside a house, shed, garage or another enclosed or poorly ventilated space because of the risk from carbon monoxide and other exhaust gases.
Final Assessment
The JET-USA range covers several very different types of pressure washer. For most routine household jobs, the RX540, RW545 and RX550 electric models avoid the servicing, fuel storage and exhaust issues of petrol or diesel engines.
The CX630 and CX660 provide a considerable step up in mobility and water flow where mains electricity is unavailable.
The TX870 and DX800 sit in a different class again. Their larger engines, triplex pumps, higher water flow and heavier construction make more sense where the workload justifies that extra size and complexity.
For the newly added RW545, the combination of a 2100W water-cooled motor, 10m hose, 6.5–7.5L/min flow and practical attachment kit makes it a useful middle-ground electric option. Its 3000 PSI figure should still be treated as a maximum pressure figure rather than assumed continuous working pressure.
Firebusters recommendation: match the machine to the cleaning task, surface and frequency of use. Do not select a pressure washer purely from the largest advertised PSI number.
