BAUMR-AG BTB60 254mm Table Saw

The BTB60 is a 2000W corded table saw with a 254mm blade. Its table extensions increase the published worktop width from approximately 72cm to 92cm.

Critical Workshop Saw Safety

Severe injury hazard: Contact with a moving blade or timber thrown by a saw can cause fatal or permanently disabling injuries. Guards, splitters, riving knives, clamps and push sticks must be used exactly as instructed.
  • Read the exact model manual before assembly, adjustment or operation.
  • Do not operate a saw unless its guards and safety devices are correctly fitted.
  • Secure the saw or stand on a firm, level and stable surface.
  • Wear suitable eye, hearing and respiratory protection.
  • Wear close-fitting clothing and secure long hair.
  • Keep hands away from the cutting line and use push sticks or suitable jigs where instructed.
  • Do not wear loose gloves near moving blades where they could become caught.
  • Support long or heavy material so it cannot fall, twist or lift during a cut.
  • Never reach over or behind a moving blade.
  • Keep bystanders away from the work area.
  • Disconnect power and wait for the blade to stop before adjustment, cleaning or maintenance.

Table-Saw Kickback

Kickback can throw timber towards the operator at high speed. Keep the blade guard and riving knife or splitter installed, use a correctly aligned fence, stand away from the likely kickback path and never make an unsupported freehand cut.

Mitre-Saw Operation

Clamp or support the workpiece as required by the manual. Keep hands outside the marked hazard area. Allow the blade to stop completely before raising the saw head or removing offcuts.

Bandsaw Operation

Adjust the exposed-blade guard close to the workpiece, use a push stick where required and avoid forcing tight curves that could twist or break the blade.

Electrical and Dust Safety

  • Use a compatible, RCD-protected power supply.
  • Keep plugs, outlets and connections dry.
  • Do not use damaged power cords, switches or plugs.
  • Use an extension lead only when permitted by the manual and correctly rated for the load and distance.
  • Connect suitable dust extraction where the saw provides a port.
